Time is Flyin’ By

Posted in Birthday, Friends, Playtime by

Cannot believe it’s been almost TWO months since I last posted….shameful!
These goofballs have kepts us quite busy!We get a lot of smiles every day. These guys LOVE flashlights!  One of their favorite games is taking their flashlights into mommy & daddy’s room, turning off the lights and shining them on the walls.  We can hear lots of giggles when they do it!
We also made a quick trip down to OKC to see my dad and stepmom.  While we were there we ran to Kite Park.
We had some fun play dates!
We even got some snow.  It was like this for about 10 hours then it had pretty much melted by bedtime.
So glad we got to enjoy it while it lasted.

And finallly, we recently celebrated Grandpa’s 75th Birthday!
Until next post…
Which could be months obviously!

Choo Choos & Oatmeal

Posted in Playtime by

We had some play time during breakfast this morning!  James and Percy decided to join us.
Have I mentioned how much fun I have with these two boys of mine?

Great way to start our day!
All smiles and giggles.

A lil country

Posted in Friends, Playtime, Twins by

Thanks to my friend Stacy, we got to experience the TRUE outdoors this week!

WHAT IS THAT?!
My boys were soooo hesitant to even get on this monster but they eventually agreed once we saw Archer and Stockton jump on.
Oh good ole peer pressure.
Fynn still looks a little hesitant.
Now he is ready to drive.
Nothing like some good ole dirt when you are a boy!
SWINGING!
Love this smile!
We all played so well together.  We played in the water table, we met their pet bird and doggies, we rode down to the pond, we played on their play set and we EVEN ate lunch!
I was able to keep the boys awake the entire ride home (55 minutes) and they took a GOOOOOOOD nap!

I would LOVE to live in the wide open spaces like Stacy and her boys but for now we are suburb people.
I do intent to at least grow our own veggies soon.
Thanks for the play date….we’ll be back soon!

Until next post…

Saturday Morning

Posted in Playtime by

Daddy is at a seminar all day today and tomorrow so it’s just me and my guys!
Their recent obsession is playing in our bedroom and on our bed.
Oh, AND Yo Gabba Gabba!  We used to watch it before we cancelled part of our cable and lost Nick Jr.  I recently bought a DVD for them and it is almost ruined because we have watched it so much.  I don’t feel like it’s a complete failure as a mom to let them watch it because they are learning colors and dancing and having fun.
Sutton also discovered mommy’s elliptical machine in our bedroom!
He would get on one of the foot pieces and go “WEEEEEEE!” as it moved down.

This is our crazy Saturday morning in our jammies!

Fynn being silly!
It’s cloudy and SO windy so no playing outside this morning.

Sutton doing his “elephant” impression.
TEETH!
This elliptical is fun!
And I’m spent!
Best for last!

Balance Bikes

Posted in Outside, Playtime by

For Christmas the boys got new balance bikes from my dad and stepmom.  They didn’t quite understand them until recently and now that it’s been so nice at night we have been letting them take them out front.

I’m coming Mom!

These are FUN!

This is my favorite.  They both stopped and just looked at each other and started their own little twin conversation.  Moments like those make me so happy I had twins and even happier they have each other.

Thank you dad and Linda for the bikes!

Boys = Wrestling

Posted in Playtime, Uncategorized by

Having twin boys at the age of TWO makes life a bit interesting for this mom.  It’s a good thing I’m not prissy.  We have some serious BOY stuff going on…picking boogies, tooting and then LAUGHING because it’s sooooo funny, playing cars and of course……WRESTLING!

I’ll get down and wrestle with them every now and then but they are TOUGH.

Seriously.

The problem is they never seem to want to wrestle at the same time.  It’s usually only one wants to and the other throws a fit because they just want their brother OFF OF THEM!

Yesterday Sutton was ON. A. MISSION.

TAKE BROTHER DOWN!!!!

Is it mean I sat and took pictures?
Fynn’s face is a bit melodramatic I must say….Sutton was simply climbing on top of Fynn’s back.

See, I’m fine.  Just didn’t want him to mess up my hair!

Daddy will wrestle with me!!!

The joys of having boys!

Chase

Posted in Outside, Playtime by

The boys’ new favorite game to play outside is “chase mama” and I LOVE IT!

Yes, he has handfuls of grass that he likes to throw on my head and then giggle really hard!

I should probably not encourage them but it’s so much fun.

Yes I encourage them to chase me, who wouldn’t want to see these smiles and hear those giggles!

Plus, any parent will tell you, any activity that wears the kids out is a good thing!

Until next post…

The World of Twins

Posted in Friends, Playtime by

Last fall I joined the local Moms of Multiples organization and I have met some great mommies through our monthly meetings.  We also sometimes get our kiddos together for play dates.  There are two other sets of twins who also turned 2 in January and they all came over to play recently.

Hunter & Donna
Love this picture! :)

Gracyn & her baby sister Avery

Braden & Hunter mixing some beats
Love that curly hair!

Sutton LOVES Donna!  He would run up to her and she would do this so of course he wouldn’t let her stop!

Hunter’s expression cracks me up!

The boys LOVED baby Avery!
It kind of reassured me they would be okay if we had another.

I love having play dates!  It breaks up the monotony of being home with the boys and gives them more practice sharing and making friends.

Gracyn has a twin brother but he was a busy body and I couldn’t catch any good pictures of him.  They are both in the same preschool class as Fynn and Sutton.

Until next post…

Christmas…in October

Posted in Fynn, Grandma, Jason, Playtime, Sutton by

This past weekend the boys probably thought it was Christmas!  The Just Between Friends consignment sale was in town and BOY DID I SCORE!!  I consigned their winter clothes as well as volunteered so I got to shop early AND earned $5 toward any purchase I made.

Jason and I have been discussing what to get the boys for Christmas this year as well as their birthday in January.  One of the items on our list was a toy work bench with tools.  Well I found one at the consignment sale for $15!  But with my $5 volunteer gift it was $10.  WOO HOO!  I have never shopped consignment sales but the feeling of SUCCESS was awesome!  Then seeing how much fun the boys had with it made it even better.

Yes, that is a toy drill you see.

Seriously…cutest picture EVER!  Daddy teaching Sutton how to cut a fake piece of wood.
MELT MY HEART!

I’m POSITIVE with my husband for a dad, these boys will be building stuff out in the garage before I can blink.

Just hammerin’ away

He’s so focused.

Hmm, which tool will I need?

The OTHER big toys came from great grandma and grandpa.  They got the boys their first battery-powered TRUCKS!

Oh my goodness, it was SO cute watching them!

They seemed so much older to me behind the wheel of their first vehicles.

Fynn’s face in the background cracks me up!

He looks so grown up!

Check out these two studs!

Until next post…
